Hi everyone!
I managed to get my hands on a General Electric set, washer and dryer. These are kinda hard to find it Belgium, but that is a different story.
After finally hooking it up, the washing machine turns out to leak.
Both water hoses are firmly attached, but after turning the machine on, water keeps leaking from underneath the control panel in the back, just underneath where the hoses are attached...
My best guess would be that this is a problem caused by the water inlet.
However, I know a guy who can replace it, but I am looking for the specific part.
I did some online research, but given the fact that I don’t know anything about American Washing Machines, I was hoping for you guys to help me out so I can make sure I buy the right piece.
The washing machine is a General Electric Washer, model: wisr309dtbww...
Any other ideas or troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. That looks like the same machine my sister used to have here in the US. It washed ok but the trans started leaking oil. I ended up buying her an older reliable genuine Maytag and she gave me her GE. I replaced the transmission in it and sold it.

It appears the part number for that water inlet valve is WH12X1075. If you are sure that's the problem...

RepairClinic.com here in the States has it

It's also on GE's website down at the bottom of the page. https://www.geapplianceparts.com/st...ts/WISR309DTBWW/1/0/0/0/CONTROLS_&_BACKSPLASH

I found on ebay for only 8 US dollars. Seller will ship to Belgium. https://www.ebay.com/itm/GE-WH12X10...505232&hash=item23c0c3a2d0:g:2sQAAOSwUA9cwH3f

If it’s leaking from where the hoses screw on, I assume you’re using new local hoses.

The machine end of the hoses have US pipe thread on them and BSP thread won’t securely screw on.

I’m not sure what standard you use locally, but in Australia all US washers come with hoses that have BSP on one end for the tap and the US pipe thread for the machine.

Thanks for The tips people!
I’m ordening The inlet valve And The original hoses this evening :)
Fingers crossed they’ll make it here under the present circumstances.
I will keep you guys posted! 😘
