Auctions like one discussed can be a toss up and thus go either way.
Yes, OTOH one can find lots of goodies. But also if things are sold in lots (as they were for auction in question) and auctioneer is being a stickler on that score one has to take rough with smooth. That is it is highly likely one can end up with tons of surplus to requirement parts that will sit around haunting one for ages.
Case in point this Ebay seller did well with many items from said auction. Others however are sitting without a nibble. One would assume that even just from Maytag appliance collectors or otherwise those who own vintage appliances from that brand those glass dryer panels would have all sold by now.
When Larry of that appliance shop in Parma passed on his heirs just got a dumpster and binned tons of vintage parts. This *may* have been in consequence of hearing, over hearing, seeing, etc... people ring up Larry and pick his very knowledgeable brain, request parts be set aside then never show up to complete the deal.
