Hi everyone. Just wanted to share some great joy in finding a new dehumidifier made like the old ones used to be. It is an Oasis D-165HG GST 35 pint per day dehumidifier. I couldn't find too much on the internet about it, but after seeing that the front cover was the old design, mechanical humidistat, and an all aluminum evaporator coil, I decided to purchase one. I had to call Oasis directly to buy it since their on-line store was acting flakey.
Anyway, it has a big Tecumseh reciprocating compressor, all aluminum evaporator coil as I said, Ranco mechanical humidistat, metal fan blades, and a cast iron Morrill fan motor. This thing is tough.
Just thought I would let anyone in the market for a new dehumidifier know about this one, as I have been very disappointed by all the other new dehumidifiers that have low grade mixed metal copper evaporator coils that leak out the refrigerant in about a year or two.

They are kinda pricey, but well worth it in my opinion after you buy 2 or 3 of the cheaper ones.
Thanks!
