Green Wringer

Cant figure out this wringer in Indianapolis. . Certainly looks sturdy. Are those hot and cold fill hoses for it that snap on a faucet for an internal fill of some kind? Who knows what it is? Im guessing a GE from the wringer head

Just found another of what looks like the same machine, but this one is YELLOW!! Never have seen a yellow one before. Looks like it is a Wizard (Western Auto). Who made it for them? Controls look like a Philco.

I wonder if thats part of an auto rinse system of some type.....the green parts match, so it must have come as part of the unit when new.....

would be interesting to see how it functions....

Found another one

Yogitunes! I wonder also. Now that I know it is a Wizard, I can research it. Sure looks easier than my Lady Kenmore. I have seen similar controls on a Dexter/Philco. Wonder if they made it for them? I added another one that is YELLOW!!! to the original post.

If he wants serious inquiries only, he should start by asking a serious price. The hoses look like a unicouple to connect it to a faucet/sink for filling and draining.

Definitely interesting machines- would have been nice to see their money shots since both machines look so much alike. It looks like the second machine may also be missing a knob off of one of the controls- the stem is there but there's no knob on it.
That hose setup on the first machine does make you wonder how it worked. Let us know when you find something out.

Somewhere under the hood is a fill port, a REAL one, and a very, very rare luxury on a Conventional (wringer) machine.  That ungainly hose,  which attaches to a faucet above a sink,  carries water to and from the washer, the same apparatus we see on portable dishwashers. The agitator may very well be the winged splasher which  longtime members  here are familiar with from the automatic  "Wizard Pig," so named for all the water it hogs due to splashing and refiling. 

 

It would be wonderful to see inside, but at six hundred and fifty bucks, without even so much as a Windex wipe with a towel rag,  makes it  unlikely we will ever get a peak unless someone saves the 100 machine. Do we have an Idahoans out there?

Somewhere you mentioned that your Visimatic was hardly used. I WOULD LOVE to see some pix, if that is at all possible. Would you indulge me and the many others here  would delight in the sights of your gem.

Excited and can't wait; mine is full of blemishes.

 

The "fire hose" on the Wizard was instantly familiar; we've seen it once before, but its's really unusual and other-worldly to see two Wizard wringers available simultaneously. 

 

Tempted to call our shipper Jackie to see if she'll be anywhere near Idaho any time soon if only to secure a rare icon like the Wizard in our collection.  

 

One hundred dollars not obscenely greedy the way 675 is.
