big,heavy,front engine"sports cars"often with auto tranny,A/C,luxury features,-things not found on "proper"sports cars of old.GTs are my favorite type of car,got a Porsche 928 and '82 Camaro z28 in collection-both have large,lazy v8s and quite similar yet different from each other with different national priorities of GT excellence -just need a Jaguar XJS to add for a 3rd national flavor 
Like the big~1965-74 Italian GTs too-Maserati Ghibli even has live axle-but those are well out of my price range-just have to enjoy pictures and watch Jay Leno drive those on Youtube Corvette was kind of a 2-seater GT,but now that is now mid-engine.
