My zanussi has died. Its got an timer fault thats make it do unusual tumbles and spin with no distribution and now its leakin like no ones business. So this now means i do not have a working collectable machine. I'm very upset.

Now the search begins for something else. Im bidding on a Zanussi turbodry Washer/dryer from 94. Hopefully i'll get that.

And of course looking out for something else as local as possible.

Oh no Darren! That's such a shame. What a bugger it's a few problems and the timer being a major one. Im so sorry.

I hope you get another machine soon.

Hey guys, thanks for your comments. I've had this machine 3years. I love it so much. I will do what i can to get her on back on her feet.

In the meantime i have literally in the last 10seconds won a zanussi WDT1085 washerdryer!!!!!!!! Which has made me smile slightly!

I wish you the best of luck with that machine Darren. I had the slightly newer equivalent of it the WDS1183. Whilst it washed and rinsed well, everytime it spun it would be off across the kitchen like a kangaroo on a pogo stick! It eventually killed itself with its violent spinning. Either way I loved that machine, and wish you many years of happiness with yours!

well done

well done on your new addition, shame about the old one though, nice new one, it looks to be similar to the tricity bendix aw1053w and the machines in that series, could i be right in saying the one you got is the zanussi version of the tricity bendix?
well done again

hotpoint 95622

An excellent machine WDT1085 I have had the pleasure to own one for some time, But alas no longer. Shell rusted badly and the base plate cracked where shocks where mounted, shame.

It is similar to the AW1053 in lots of ways, most of the components are the same; share the same motor, pump and so on.

So i now have the WDT1085....its immaculate...however..the seller was dishonest. he said it had been "damaged" in transit and something had gone loose. it was dark. I said i fix them and i would take a look. Seemed a nice enough guy.

Got it home...there is so much movement in the drum its ridiculous,..just like Paul and robs Hotpoint microtronic. So its bearings are shot to sh*t. Thats just my luck atm nothings goin right. *sigh* However. I want to fix it. Though im not entirely confident about doin my own bearing changes. I may pay someone to do it. I just hope there isnt to much damage to anything else. I may even buy a new drum.

So annoyin. I've loads of washing to do. And no working machine of my own to do it in. So i imagine the AEG is going to be very tired by the end of the week.

I'll stick some pics/video of the machine later.

Bloody Hell

It really ain't happening for you at the minute is it Darren :(

Make sure your feedback on Ebay mentions it coz thats out of order - it never said anything about damage on the advert did it?

See if a repairman will do you a discount for fixing both the Zanussis at the same time! Nightmare!

Good job you don't know my address, otherwise id be having to bolt my FL1012 to the garage floor, incase i see it disappearing in the back of a Corsa ;-)

Hi Darren,

Sorry to hear about your machine. I would ask the seller to give you some money back, that was so nasty of him.

I bought a Hoover Senior of a guy on ebay, that took over 2 months for him to deliver, I got in touch with Pay Pal, and all was sorted.

Good Luck Mate

Flippin heck.

Seems like its the season for mixed fortunes!

Bad luck Darren, though I am sure that you will sort it over time. Annoying that its time we never have enough of - or space.

Myself and Rob went and picked up a machine last Thursday and was crashed into on the way back home. Van drove into the back of us.
We are both fine, just aches and pains, as is my car and thankfully so too appears the machine! His van came off worst though and will require a new bonnet and grille (amongst other things).

Earlier in the week, whilst down at Mathew's, a newly acquired machine of ours (as yet unrevealed) decided, after giving it a new motor, that it was going to throw an electrical wobbler and promptly no longer lights up when the on off button is pressed. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Thankfuly wasnt all bad though - found Mathew a D6096 dryer, to match his A3110 and A3114 and of course handed over to Gary his A3060.

Plus was great to see people.
So a very mixed week.

Is the drum spider cracked on the Zanny Darren, hence the wild amounts of play?

Our Microprofile 9560, was completey cracked on two of the three arms.

Fingers crossed everything gets sorted for you.

Hey guys,
The annoying thing was, he told me in the pitch black it had been "damaged" in transit and something had come loose but quite happily took the full £31 off me. cheeky c**t.

Very angry and disapointed but thats the direction of my life atm with current spell of luck. at least my newly single status allows me the time to correct these problems. Im well pissed off as he sold it as in good working order. How did he expect to sell it to joe public without them noticing?

grr. Well a full bearing set isnt to expensive. its just the effort and time. And obviously i may find more damage as i investigate. Hoping it will be an easy fix.
