Help Support :

Hey Lee,
Its going to be a b**ch to do so i've contacted a repairman to see what it'll cost and if it'll be any cheaper if i source the parts myself.

I'm currently disputing with the seller on ebay he can give me the money back to put towards parts!

Something good happened....at last.

Okay. So i've been havin worst bout of luck right now..without bein too personal or indepth.i was in a str8 relationship..have 2 kids..1 10months, one on the way..i've left my partner because im gay...came out once b4 and then tried to cover it up as had no support, depressed, yada yada.so ontop of leavin my family etc..i've been seein my son regularly..until now.my ex has started to be a bitch about access to the point of i have a solicitors appt on tues...my zanussi died...then my new zanussi was shafted on arrival..good times hey.

Well this weekend i got to confirm the fault on the newer zanussi and have contacted some repairman about what we can do to fix it and keep cost down.
Today i've tackled the WDT1061 to find out where the blasted leak was coming from...the spring from the cabinet to the drum is right next to the dispenser and one of the hoses was leaking so i assume an unbalanced spin has given it a yank to cause a leak. So i've sorted that and it seems to behavin just fine in terms of the timer issues. I ran it for 10mins on the drying function before i ran a cycle to warm it up as its in the garage.

So a small bit of luck for me in a shitty situation..heres a pic for you of the machine minus her lid

Hi Darren,

I'm sorry to hear about all the problems you've been having recently. There's nothing like doing some washing to take your mind off things.

As Lee says the bearings are definitely not an easy job on the WDT1085. Yes they were still good machines by today's standards, but not as solid as your WDT1061. The WDT1061 is much easier to repair, and having the old vitrous enamel tub the bearings are simple to replace.

With regards to the timer, if you do need to replace it eventually I may be able to source one cheaply for you at a fraction of the cost you'd normally pay. It all depends if that particular timer is available from my usual source in Germany.

Tom.

Hi Tom!
Thanks for the comments. Yea i agree with what your saying, I'm glad the leak wasnt a major one...for now *touches wood*, If the WDT1085 is going to cost me alot...i will have to give it some thought.

Well i want to keep her running so should i need a timer in future i'll definately contact you, i considered gettin some spares in for such eventualitys but didnt want to tempt faite.
