Hey all,

Long time no post from me but I just wanted to duck back in with some info and a video on the new Haier made Fisher and Paykel top loaders here in Australia.

These machines are just rebadged and restyled Haier machines with a couple of adjustments to make them more unique. One of those being dispensers added to the left and right top side of the wash deck to resemble the dispenser design of previous Aquasmart models.

The maximum spin speed has been reduced to 750rpm.

Also the full flume has been designed to emulate F&P’s traditional design that sprays over multiple angles over the load.

The programming however is very much Haier with added spray/soaking rinses as well as deep water rinses.

The positives sadly end here as for some reason Haier has decided that interim spin speeds need to only be about 300rpm which doesn’t sufficiently extract the water and suds from the clothes. They have also decided that the rinse agitation needs to be extremely gentle and doesn’t actually agitate the clothes sufficiently (in my opinion).

The final spin is long and mucks around unnecessarily. It could just spin slowly for a minute to extract the bulk of the water and then spin up to the maximum spin speed but instead it takes a long time get to maximum speed and then dips and rises through the spin for some reason.

So although the wash agitation is decent and the auto sensing water level seems accurate, the machine lacks proper rinsing and I personally would always use Rinse + .

It’s a real shame that Fishy has taken this path for their top loaders. The Haier made fishy front loaders are amazing and some of the best selling machines here in Australia currently. Maybe they believe that top loaders are losing their popularity so there’s no reason to put money into engineering anything too unique.

Anyway enough of me waffling along. Please see the link for a video of the Sheets cycle. More videos will be added to my channel of this machine before it gets sold on.

Have a great holiday season everyone!

Both of my AquaSmarts run the interim spin(s) at 300 RPM on all cycles ... with sprays at stir/Eco Active speed (25 RPM?).
