Hal gets his KitchenAid

A few yeares back I did a consulting job and for compesation I acepted a dozen or so kitchenAid mixers in a variety of colours and sizes. I have them stored away and use them as gifts for those who do special projects for the lab (industry reps, donors, etc). I have also been give one away a year to the student lab assistant, but they have to promise not to tell the next assistant. So this week Hal got his. I picked a nice butch chrome colour for him.

During the lecture I called him in to the classroom. Incidently the lecture the last week is "cleaning up with vacumms"

He could not believe that it was his. I have known him for three years and I have never seen him speachless. He plays with his ring when he gets nervous and embarrassed.

He is still shocked. He actually had tears inhis eyes. My partner says I have a knack for making big men cry and after ten years he should know best.
