So at Goodwill tonight I saw a Hamilton Beach Deluxe Stand mixer. I think 10 speeds. It had the narrow rectangle looking motor. It was chrome and seemed to be kind of hefty, almost like it was all metal possibly? No attachments or bowls though. $5.99. It had a slide switch under the handle and a timer dial.

Plus why does Goodwill separate items? There was a red Mixmaster also, newer one, just stand and motor, then I looked in the utensil section and there were the beaters for it, and I think I saw the bowl in the glassware section. lol

I don't think the HB's parts were anywhere to be found though.

The parts get separated in the back when they sort through everything and then the people don't know what is what for what.. so they just price each piece.. In fact today I was at Value Village and saw one of those neat old GE food processor / blenders.. The blender jar was sitting all by itself with a $2 price tag on a completely different shelf.. So it took it over to the main processors and stuck it on.

Pete, if you happen to go back to your local Value Village (we call it 'Village des Voleurs' here in La Belle Province...)  would you be able to grab that GE blender jar if it's still there??  I have been looking for one for ages, no doubt because the twit working at SA separated the jar from the rest of the processor I found there!

Cole:  I have TONS of mixer parts, especially bowls.  However I am in Canada and shipping gets a bit expensive, but I have 'em....

Sounds like you are describing a model 40CT mixer. The label should be located on the underside of the motor. Replacement beaters and bowls are available used parts often seen for sale on eBay. HB used the same beaters with their hand mixers, make sure the set you buy has one beater with the nylon/plastic drive button on the bottom of the beater.

Yes, it does look like that other than it doesn't have the mid guide and where the hb logo is there this one had a timer knob. I guess like with Sunbeam the chrome was considered the more deluxe version.

Thanks for the info on these.

And I guess too things get separated at Goodwill. I do notice some mixers do have their beaters in them. I started to get all the bowls and beaters and put them with the correct mixers since they would probably sell better with the parts all together. But I guess people would probably question all the separate pricing when they're clearly meant to go with the item. Plus people aren't likely to just buy the beaters if they don't know what kind of mixer they fit.
