BUT WHY????

But WHO / WHY would you invent suck a thing??????
A machine to slice a bagel? just use a knife!
And I cannot beleive such a thing would be allowed surley it would have your hand off with it!

If this really turns out to be a bagel slicer you will have found a whole new level of pointlessness in an appliance!

OKMG THAT THING!

OMG yes that thing from the 70's!!!!!
Way before my time but i have seen it on tv, isnt it like a pin on a base that whisks the egg LoL

Gizmos

Ice Crusher of some kind.......is that like a B**L Buster of sorts????

Automatic Cat Toilet....a way to dispose of those 'clumps'????

Pointlessness in Appliances? I resemble that remark...after all, I have to live up to my Status Quo......Gadget Gary

At where I work they installed Georga Pacific "enmotion" electric paper towel dispensers--Kinda fun really-you wave your hand in front of it-and it rolls out a peice of paper towel.Paper consumption is up--guess others who work here think its fun to use.Their website says it saves paper-but you can wave your hand in front of it to get additional peices.

Are plug-in toys more fun that battery-operated ones?

Oh GadgetGary.
U R just a treasure-trove of fan-tas-ma-gor-ical toys!

Well, it does kind of remind me of a mini-guillotine.

Bagel Slicer?

Well, you're on the right track; it's a Jewish thing.

Gary, isn't that actually the BrisMaster 2000?

I'd have mentioned it earlier, but I didn't want to tip off anyone...

And the prize is........

Yes, Terry,Austin, and petek you are correct. It is a BREADMAN electric bagel slicer. Slices the bagels perfectly. You can slice a whole dozen bagels, put them in the baggie, and not have to worry your little 'head' over slicing them when you are half-awake and in a 'compromising' position in the morning.

And yes, add this to the useful 'Gadget' list since a plain knife would be just so 'boring'.

Help!

I need some 'technical assistance'. I cannot post from my laptop computer so I am posting from another one. When I go to log on, it takes my name and when I click on continue, it just reverts back to 'Buzzer sounding' and asks me to re-log. This happened once before and then corrected itself later. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone!

Gary

ugh.. er.. remind me NOT to go for breakfast at Veg's anytime soon... :)

I'm Baaaaack...Thank GAWD~!

Panic attack over since I could not post to this site. Seems I did a full system scan on my Norton AntiVirus and the date was set ahead, therefore the 'Virus Definitions' would not correct itself. Once I changed the date on my computer to refelect the present date and did a full system scan again, everthing corrected itself.
The things you don't learn here in Applianceville.
Almost ready to get one of those electrically sliced bagels with my perked coffee.

I have a whole collection of 'Gadgets' in my 'closet' that would fall into that proverbial category(as Mr. Sparkle so states).
One man's trash is another man's treasure.....and....beauty is simply in the eyes of the beholder.
Everyone has their treasures, trinkets and priorities, and I guess mine is collecting 'gadgets', electric and non-electric......hand washable or dishwasher safe.

Will open up that closet soon and see what other magical mystical 'gadget' that I have not 'pulled out' in an L-O-N-G time.
