Thanks Compwhiz, you have a great holiday too. I'm in Arizona enjoying it with appliance friends, perhaps one of the nicest ways to spend it!

Well!

Glad you asked, Jeff. I've been dying to post this all day!

My gravy was like...velvet! Smooth and delicious, I only wish there had been more!

And I *think* I figured out what the problem was last year. I make the gravy right in the roasting pan and when I poured out the drippings to separate the fat, I noticed some, well, "turkey kuck" is the only way I know how to describe it, in the bottom of the pan. Ewwww.

Scraped it out and went on with the gravy-making. Deee-lish!

Actually, everything came out great. My niece, bless her heart, had seconds of everything.

The day was not totally without trauma, though. I baked the dressing in two of those plastic Gladware pans which I love. Not sure what happened, but there was a bit of a meltdown in the oven. The melted goo peeled off the cookie sheet okay (see, I did follow the directions!) but I still have some in the oven that I need to work on.

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was as good as mine!

WOO HOO Veg!

Glad to hear that it was a success, I was thinking about you when I was making the gravy over at my mom's today.
Sounds like you had a nice day!

Jeff, did you give him your recipe? Terry tried your recipe making the gravy, with great success! I'm going to do mine that way the next time too.

Nope

Oven's only 5 years old. Temp's fine.

My guess is that the side of the pan was touching the side of the oven. Or maybe I just wore them out! I do love me some Gladware!
