I recently purchased the 2nd season of "Hazel" on DVD.
There was ONE episode in season 1 that was in color but all the rest were b/w.
Season 2 is all in color.
For the first half of season 2, the kitchen appliances (and washer and dryer) are turquoise.
Hazel even makes mention in one episode about her "new appliances" including a dishwasher, which is never shown.
I'm guessing that since Ford supplied the cars for this season that Philco supplied the appliances.
There is a bottom freezer refrigerator, and electric range, a top loading washer and a dryer with a very Philco looking window door.
Even their dinette area has matching turquoise upholstery.
Last night, I was further along in the season and the appliances had all been changed to a brown color (not coppertone - lighter than that). The dinette was still turquoise though.
Anybody have any pictures or the "inside line" on these appliances?
Love that Hazel!

Ann Baxter

Just your typical blonde and gorgeous 1960's surburban housewife. Just loved her to bits. Never could make up one's mind as to which one would want to be though between AB and Elizabeth Montgomery (Bewitched), both had that cool northern "Yankee" type of beauty. Add Lee Remick to that group as well.

Second season next to last episode - "Maid of the Month" Air Date May 2nd 1963.
Only time (so far) dishwasher is seen and it's still the "old" turquoise color the fridge and stove used to be.

Philco/Bendix washer dryer...

My understanding is that Philco/Bendix were unified? I know they produced a duomatic, and I can see the Philco logo on the fronts...http://youtu.be/tdzbIOaMalU

Before the original parents left (Don DeFore had been a neighbor on Ozzie & Harriet) and that snippy husband came to try to rule Hazel, as if, there is an opening sequence for each show beginning with Hazel pulling cookies out of a big honkin' chrome topped OK&M. I remember that the closing credits used to mention appliances by the AGA. One show had them downtown in some sidewalk drama by the car and in the background was some appliance store with an OK&M builtin oven in the window. That seems to be the time when they had the Duomatic. That set had to be the one place that changed appliances more than we did.

I guess everyone knows that Ann Baxter was the granddaughter of Frank Lloyd Wright.

anne baxter was in hazel?

<span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;">I thought it was <span style="background-color: initial; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.2em;">Whitney Blake</span></span>

also found out Whitney Blake was married to a man named &#34

and that she was Meredith Baxter's mother!

How confusing is that

Anne Baxter

I think the poster meant "Dorothy Baxter," the character Whitney Blake played on "Hazel." By the way, another fun fact: Whitney Blake and her husband co-created "One Day At A Time," based on Blake's experience as a single mom raising Meridith Baxter.

Agreed badgerdx, if you ever watched the show the cabinets look like cheap plywood and the countertops are dark brown God knows what.
