Any suggestions here? I know Cheer makes a version for dark colors, but it's not HE. Any alternatives to Persil? I think I've read there's a version for dark colors... suggestions?

Nope, phospate are used in almost every detergent here in Europe and our darks stay dark. Plus it's full of HE detergents for dark clothes. Dash, Ariel, Perlana, Lip, Dixan, Sole, just to name a few that are on the shelves.

The Persil Color formulations are the best for colour care. I've used Cheer HE, it's not bad. I've also used some of the "green" detergents on dark colours, with pretty good results. I look for detergents that do not contain optical brighteners.
Right now i'm using Persil Megaperls, I like this one best overall, with the colour liquid a second and good for pretreating.
I,too, wish there were more choices for colour variant detergents.
I do add some white vinegar to the FS or bleach dispenser to help with colour care, as well. Todd

Persil has a liquid for darks, called "FEWA/Black Magic" or some such thing. Have several bottles in my stash (nabbed on the cheap, otherwise wouldn't have bothered). Does a good enough job of cleaning and keeping darks "dark", but the scent is rather strong for my tastes. However find tumble drying lessens the scent some what.
