D I worked on a 24 inch whirlpool built fin twin, a gas one nonetheless at the bottom of a narrow staircase the other week luckily it was front accessible and I was able to fix it. I’m glad I didn’t have to install it. I couldn’t get behind it.

I came to work on a pair like in the OP, but instead of being down some stairs, it was up a staircase on a landing. I have no idea how they got it in there.
