Help! Camera Lens Stuck!

I have just recieved a Fujifilm A500 digital camera from a close friend and the lens will not move,no matter what mode.
It looks like a great camera and would really appreciate any help!

Has the camera been dropped at all? Sometime that will cause the camera lens to malfunction.
Fuji's DO take great photos. Unfortuanely the cost to repair these camera usually exceeds its purchase price.
We had an early Fuji camera with the same problem. We paid $149.95 for it, and Fuji wanted $225.00 to fix it.
