Hey everyone!

Yesterday my tenant called to say the fridge in my rental unit wasn't working. It is a 2001 mid level Whirlpool. After doing some troubleshooting, it was determined the compressor went bad. I was able to get a good deal on a brand new Frigidaire. My question to the forum is can I use the ice maker from the Whirlpool in the Frigidaire? My guess is no, but I am not certain. Any thoughts?

I appreciate your help.

I think it's unlikely that you could cross part the riq's.
More possible if they were the same year of manufacture.
It certainly wouldn't hurt to cross reference model numbers of
the fridges and their ice making units

Thanks Darrel~

I appreciate everyone who took time out of their day to email with help regarding the ice maker..It is not compatible with the Frigidaire, but it will work in my Maytag which I keep in the garage for backup storage.

Thanks again
