HELP NEEDED PLEASE... 1963 HOTPOINT DW MODEL 20DA25B

My house is finally coming together from the rebuild.
My kitchen is currently being assembled. ServPro brought the DW home from storage, AND the plastic water inlet on the right side of the tub is broken (see attached pic). It def wasn't like that when it left to go to storage. The hose from the solenoid valve connects to this piece, that is basically a u-shaped piece of plastic.

Does anyone here have parts for this machine, Part numbers or any ideas on where to find it?
Modern Appliance Parts in PARMA OH, may be able to help w/a part number. GE/HOTPOINT's system does not recognize the model #.
I really want to get this installed.

Inside pics?

What holds the airgap in place inside the tub? You may be able to use an airgap from an older KitchenAid machine. They went in just like your machine and were held in with a nut. The fill hose connected to the top of it.
I may have just what you need.

I can take a picture of the inside tomorrow. I'm not at the house. I haven't live there in over a year because of the damage and repair.

That Air Gap is attached from the inside of the tub with four hex head screws. I will send more pics tomorrow. Thank you for reading I appreciate it.

Can you measure the opening so I can see if I have anything that might fit? Or once we all know what it is, maybe one of us has an airgap that will fit and be held in place by the more standard nut and washer setup. You can always secure the screws with nuts on the outside of the tank so there is not be any leaks.

If you can't find a part that is similar Louis you can always go to Ace Hardware and get a tube of two part epoxy putty. You knead the two parts together for a few minutes and it creates a water tight putty that you can use to mold and re-form the broken section around the original spout. It dries hard in about 30 minutes and is ready to use. You may have to make it a bit higher to prevent splashing, but I've successfully made several repairs to similar water using parts with this stuff.

For that info. I did not know about that putty. I will definitely give it a try, while I'm waiting to see if there is a replacement part. I did not see this DW when it was installed in the house I took it from. How does the hose sit in the air gap? Is it supposed to fit snug? How does it stay held in place?

Hi Louis, would you mind taking take some better pictures of the side of the dishwasher where the hose is, that will help. I have a feeling the bracket that holds the hose was on that broken section unfortunately. Also it's a beautiful machine, love to see the interior and spray arm as well!

I included some pics of the side of the washer showing the water inlet valve below the Air Gap. The hose is not attached. Also, included are some additional shots of the inside. This is an impeller machine. I think it is BOL. Which is odd for me, because I'm all about bells, whistles, and options / lol.
It doesn't have a rinse aid dispenser
It is the 1st and only DW I've been able to get, and I need to have turquoise to match the other appliances.

Okay what I would do then is this...

Picture #1 using the 2-part epoxy mold and shape some putty to remake the broken cone shaped section, leaving top open. Let dry.

Picture #2 make a top (maybe a bit more dome shaped that I should in the picture and embed a elbow hose connector barb (pick out a size that fits your fill hose). Add a few small holes for air. Seal the top into the previously made cone section from picture 1. Let everything dry, seal and harden hard for at least an hour and before to test this and watch for leaks before installing the machine.

For your instructions and great diagrams. I will do what you outlined. I'm waiting to get a fill hose and elbow, and will show you it when I'm done. I appreciate you responding, helping, and guiding me. Just one more question,if I may. Is there anything that should be done before testing a DW that has been stored for 5 or so years?

Louis, I would recommend that you pour a couple of buckets of very hot tap water into the dishwasher and let it sit for at least half an hour before powering it up for a first test.  The water will help to moisten any seals that have dried up.  Good luck with this one - it's a beaut!!

EPOXY AIR GAP......

Formed as Robert instructed, and curing. It is not so fancy looking, but seems that it will do it's job. Fingers crossed.

Repaired dishwasher airgap, Hopefully you left an air gap and it’s not sealed too tightly otherwise it won’t function properly.
