We recently acquired a 1938 Frigidaire Refrigerator. It initially created ice but the knob got adjusted and now we can't seem to replicate where the cooling knob should be. Anyone have ideas on what setting we should set it to? And if that's not the problem, what could it be? We can hear it running and seems to be maintaining a temp around 50 according to the thermometer inside. We love this refrigerator and want to see it at its best! All help appreciated!!!

Can you post pictures of the temperature control?  Does the knob have a set screw that came loose, or if the post it mounts onto is splined, could the inside of the knob be stripped?
