Earlier this summer I purchased a 1970 900 Series Piano Key Washer.
It has purred like a kitten and been a great washer.
Last week I had a load of towels in it and had the lid open and got busy.
When I returned it was already at the beginning of he rinse and just timed through the first spin because of the safety switch.
I don't know if that was just a coincidence or what but after that the spins became very load with vibration.
It looks like the outer tub is banding slightly.
Is this the beginning of the tub bearings going out? Could it cycling through the spin with just the motor humming while the lid was up added to this problem?
It was also a heavier load of large bath towels.
Anyway, I love this machine. I'm not the least bit mechanical. Is it worth having a repairman come look at it.?
If I contiue to run it with the vibration and banging is it the beginning of the end?
Thanks so much!
