Had sheer curtains on the door window for privacy until I could get the window film on and the curtains now have yellow streaks in them, any suggestions how to get the yellow out? I've tried soaking in oxiclean with no luck :(

Do you know what caused the yellowing?

Tobacco smoke? Sunlight exposure? Cooking fumes, etc...

In Germany and elsewhere in Europe one can find special products designed for cleaning sheer and net curtains. They are heavy on surfactants, bleach (oxygen) and optical brighteners/bluing agents to counteract the often yellowing to curtains that comes from them being exposed to God only knows what.

not exactly gentle but..

An old trick that always seems to work on impossible stains, wet the stains with plain old drug store peroxide, 89 cents a bottle. Lay the material directly on the grass in bright sunshine. Add more peroxide as needed throughout the day. Usually one day does it.

I have even had luck using this method to remove mildew stains from cotton bedding after all else had failed. (Relative had some very nice sheets which got wet in storage)

I'd say

sunlight Launderess, no chance for tobacco, is the culprit, but I've never seen this before.
Tks Vintage I have not heard of your method either, worth the try, if the rain ever stops.

Were they water stains from condensation? Just a word of warning (general) if you have insulated glass applying film may void your warranty on it.
