Henkel US office moving to Orange County, CA

I apologize for the horrid photo quality of this shot taken on a foggy day with my Blackberry phone, but it appears that Henkel is establishing US headquarters in Irvine, CA. This was taken near the intersection of I-5 and Jamboree Dr.

Now only if they'd start selling Persil in the USA!! Given the low selection of HE powders available here, it's high time.

We should set up a picket line protesting that they don't sell Persil in the US.

Looks like that new office is going to be used for their personal and hair products, plus some R&D for that division.

Henkel Would Argue That They Do

Via Miele, so that is the end of that.

In the end your previous statement makes sense, Purex is a value brand, and Henkel probably does not want to spend the funds to go toe to toe with P&G/Tide for top dog spot in the North American market.

Selling Persil via Miele to a "niche" market is one thing, but to do a nationwide roll out of the proudct, Henkel would have to set up R&D and such to test the product over the wide range of water and other conditions that vary from Maine to California. This is what P&G does for Tide, and probably a few other laundry products as well.
