Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The cap on that agitator is exactly what I remember on the last Wizard I saw, but the rest of it had a straight vane shape like an old Whirly/Kenmore. I never remember seeing one of this brand machine. Where were they sold? What part of the country? Who made them?

A 1-/2 quart bleach dispenser?! I wonder if you could smell bleach every time you were near the machine...

Neighbors had an early 60's Coronodo washer with the same agitator/lint filter configuration, but the console looked nothing like this one. A cool-looking machine, to be sure. And I'll bet it makes all the groovy snorting, sucking, grunting noises these machines were famous for.

Pardon me for barging in on this conversation especially since I don't know an awful lot about washers and dryers but when I look at the copy of the page, at the very bottom, it looks like it's mentioned that the washer and dryer would be shipped via freight train from the factory in Iowa. I believe that Maytag was/is made in Iowa. It is a very nice set of appliances with a clean look to it regardless of who the manufacturer may have been.

Thought there were many washer factories in Iowa? Its almost like thinking what Ohio is to Vacuum cleaners.Thought other washer builders were there besides Maytag in the very old days especially.
