hey guys, I´m new here and a washer collector form germany. I have some little questions to my Hoover
the first: when she does a Intermid spin, she stops the cycle, when there to much of water is in the tub, but she doesn´t start the spin again, I must switch the washer off and start it again...
and the 2nd, what is the maximum final spin rpm, she makes about 800rm, but I think there are more rpm, so about 1000... but I don´t know. can I get some informations over this washer?

Hoover EcoLogic 1000

The maximum spin speed on Hoover machines of that era, was usually listed on the powder dispenser, so 'EcoLogic 1000' would mean 1000 revolutions per minute.

With regard to the intermediate spins, are you sure that the machine is draining correctly? Sometimes coins or buttons can act like a throttle valve, blocking the pump pipework. This machine was fitted with a 'vortex pump' which had efficient water evacuation, so I would check the pump and associated pipework for blockages.

Hi, thanks for the post. My Hoover throws high speed spin and stays with her on the speed. later in the spin cycle it runs for a second hand, and accelerated again to its previous speed. I find this somewhat strange ...
The pump is free, but it is about 4 meters long with a mounted drain hose in a washbasin.

sorry for the slow response.

With Hoover machines, if the water is not pumped out when it reaches a spin, the machine just stops, as you describe.

I suggest the cause is that the machine is slow in emptying, due to the extra long drain hose, it is suprising just how much resistance to the flow the extra lenght causes.

Also check the fitting under the sink for blockages, I've known of machines replaced due to a blocked undersink connection.

So try the machine with a shorter drain hose hooked over the sink, as a comparison to the present plumbing arrangement, does it empty faster?

Hey. I, the machine can not connect different, because it is at 4th Place adjacent to the sink. still standing in front of a Philips, an AEG and Hotpoint. well it is not bad, because often they run anyway but sometimes I get a clothes-washing machine at that.
