Found this great little machine on Craigslist the other day, located in Connecticut. So, I called up Rich (Perc-o-Prince) and we headed down and picked it up. Will definitely clean up. Have a slight problem with one of the hoses that needs to be replaced, but will have to study the machine first to see how to remove the cabinet to get to it. Any help would be appreciated.

In the meantime, enjoy the pictures!

It was a lot of fun, Ron!!

I hope that someone can advise you of an easy way to change the drain/pump hoses without having to tear the whole thing apart :-(

I can't wait to see it in full action!!

Hoover 0319

I am doing a full resto on one of these right now. If it truly is the hose that it going up the back, that thing looks ridiculous to get at.

Good luck, mine is very very rough. There should be a date printed on the wash tub back behind the access panel.

After more careful inspection and testing, it definitely looks like the hose between the top of the machine and the pump needs to be changed, which mean, unless I'm missing something, an almost complete tear apart of the machine.

Any suggestions would be helpful. Also, can anyone advise me if a replacement for the top rubber molding is available. It would be great to be able to replace that.

Thanks again for any help.

I forgot to ask in my last post, by any chance, does anyone have a service manual for this machine? It's a relatively simple machine, so I'm not even sure if a service manual ever existed, but I figured it was worth a shot to throw it out there.

OK, just got off the phone with Ron. He called he who he calls, "Dr. Bubba," for a consult in taking the machine apart, rivets, and the like. He'll be sending pictures and I'll be very interested, Tim, to hear what you've found!

Sounds like Ron's Hoover will be taking a road trip to Southborough soon!!

Just a quick update. With the help of my older brother, I was able to finally figure out how to change the leaking hose which, after removing two very stubborn screws, was an easy change out.

It looks like I need to now change the gasket on the pump, which leaks terribly. The only part I need to locate is the rubber "cap" which slips over the pump flywheel. If anybody knows where I can locate one of those (perhaps our England members can help) I would appreciate it.
