Value for Hoover 0610
Hello there..."value" is a subjective concept. I bought my Hoover 0610 2nd-hand in 1978 for $25.00. Today, they are certainly more rare, which could warrant a higher price, but really like anything, it depends upon the local market. If I was looking for another, I wouldn't pay more than $75.00. As a matter of comparison, I purchased my 2nd-hand Speed Queen SuperTwin for $50.00 a couple of years ago, and it's a far superior machine to a Hoover.

I think it would help if you posted a few pictures of it on here. We've seen Hoover machines which looked like they were ready for the dump selling for $500 and we've seen pristine machines which look like they belonged in a showroom for $50.
The value is subjective. If that Twin Tub was in absolutely pristine shape with no nicks, marks, dents or rust, I think you might get $200 for it..
Twin tubs don't tend to have a lot of value because most people want automatics. A lot of people don't really know how to properly use Twin tub machines either.

Hi! I'm new to this web site and this is my first post in here. (?!?) 
I just bought a 0610 recently (Serial Number 73166) and 'reported' my latest find to ChesterMikeUK. As far as I know, the 0610 originates from a plant in Hamilton, Ontario. Years of production are most probably between 1966-1970 (certainly pre-1970). Indeed, the value of these washing machines is more or less subjective. I paid CAN $120 for mine's. Mind you, a few years ago I missed one (for free!) that was put out in the garbage nearby my dwelling. I remember it looked in pretty good shape but, alas, I didn't care to take it home and missed the boat completely! The one I bought is in very good condition and runs smoothly. It's a fact that Hoover twin tub washers in good working order are quite rare today. However, the pricing of those vintage units must be kept reasonable IMHO. I'd risk to say between $50 and $250, depending of overall condition. I have included a picture of a Hoover 0610 (not mine's). Hope it loaded correctly on the page.

Correct to my posting - Model 0611
Quick correction to my posting - mine is a Model 0611. I, too, wonder what the difference is between the 0610 and the 0611. Bet it has something to do with the drain hose set-up, and the back access panel. (I've posted a pic of the back of my 0611).

Found the washer while browsing one morning through LesPac.com. Bought it from a seller in Shawingan. A friend of his, who has a small suv-type truck, brought it to me in Qc for less than the cost of UPS or the likes.
BTW, there is a Hoover washer on offer for $160 by someone in Saguenay, Qc (LesPac)

The rest looks quite the same as the 0610: blue top plate (control panel) and aluminum lids---with handles (unlike the 0510 or 0512) just look the same. I dare presume that the 0611 was also made at the Hoover manufacture in Hamilton.

Back panel looks remarkably like the UK ones ! Where you can see a circular patch behind the washer is where the heater reset button used to be, the larger back panel is what is on the back of most Hoover TT over here for most of the models.
Am sure others know more about this than I do and will enlighten us in due course

Hi John, having seen you pic above your machine is similar to our model 3309L, which was the first twintub from Hoover that had the outlet pipe coming directly from the pump through the back panel instead of the top...
Brad, your model 0611 is interesting with the wrap around cabinet and two small inspection hatches, I wonder how the repairmen liked it, saying that not much there to get to youd have to tip the machine to get to motors etc...

Nice machine! Very similar in look to the 3301L. Isn't it cool to realize that the company has made, through the years, so many different models of washers with some variants (look, motor, outlet hose setup, etc.). Not to mention the many different countries of manufacture with their own models and characteristics. Interesting...
