It was a mighty fine washer. But Landlord wont repair or replace and I need it out the flat. It's in Newcastle (north) UK. Wish I'd found this forum before I'd replaced it because I imagine this repaired will last longer than the 2015 model one replacing it.

I'm sure it's worth more to you than me.

Seems a shame to get rid of something so old.

Landlord won't replace?

I'm sure that a landlord has to maintain or replace any appliance / fittings fixtures and furniture if originally provided at the start of contract agreements obviously not if a tenant has abused them purposely of which you have not.

Him or her refusing to provide you with a new machine is breach of such contract as the property was rented as seen for the money agreed. If they are adamant that they won't replace them a suitable rent reduction should be agreed.

Go over you contract and ensure that there's no Claude to suggest otherwise but I'm sure you will find that your within your right to ask for a replacement
