Today I was so happy to receive my Hoover Floor Washer that I recently purchased from Ebay. I was very upset to open the box and find the vacuum head shattered. I have emailed my complaint to the seller, hoping for a refund. All else seems to work properly other than the need for a good cleaning. Can anyone guide me on how I may locate a replacement head? Here are my photos of the damaged head. I just hate FedEx, their service in our area is less than desirable.

Joe, I sympathize with you. It is very sad to find something you wanted so much damaged due to improper packing or rough handling. I hope that you had insurance. I am sorry that your beautiful treasure was broken. Tom

Yep, the more I think about it the angrier I get, this great piece of vintage Hoover craftsmanship that I wanted to care for and save from abuse received simply that. I place such high value on things vintage, and was so looking forward to cleaning it up and using it on my floors.

Joe,
I'm so sorry to see your once beautiful Hoover Floor Washer smashed like that.It is a very upsetting sight especially to someone like me who wants to preserve as many vintage Hoover products as I can.

I hope you can find a replacement head or another floor washer

I wonder if the person or whoever packed the machine for shipping should have removed the floor nozzle and packed it separately from the machine. It then may have survived.ask folks shipping another machine to do that.

an update

Much to my pleasure the seller seemed very understanding and refunded the entire purchase price. Now I really need some help on how to find another head for the machine. I'm not sure where to look.

Now do the right thing by the seller...

....and send them a thank you card...as it probably isn't/wasn't their fault it was broken in transit...
