I think these would have to qualify as the "finds of the year".

I've been looking for an 1130 Dial A Matic for awhile now and it has been eluding me until now. It was at a Thrift store that I just happen to be going by and stopped in at the last minute. Got some great vacs that way.

Another of the Great Find is a 75th anniversary Hoover with the chrome base. Its been used commercially, but is in good shape.

Honorable mention goes to a Royal Aire swivel top cannister. Its got most of its tools and original hose.

Among the other finds this weekend were 2 Electrolux 30's a Lux 60 and a Hoover Concept One Power Drive.

But its definately the 1130 DAM and the 75th Anniversary that made my weekend.

Wow Joe! Great finds....I hope to find some good Hoovers soon. I just ran across a slimline 2010 with the "skid" from 1965. I like your anniversary cleaner...those are hard to find in good condition. I don't know why that 1130 DAM is so hard to find. I looked for almost 7 years to find one. It was a very popular machine too. Well congrats on those fantastic Hoover finds!!!!

Now if I can only find....

a u5017 DAM. That is another one that's avoiding me. But, like this 1130, I'll trip over a u5017 some day.

Bob, the weather was a break between storms. We had a nice rain today, even though my wife had to be out in it with some of our animals, working an Agriculture day at a local school. The rain was welcome after the 90+ day we had yesterday.

That 1130 DAM should clean up nice. It only appears to be surface dirt on the base. I can't wait to polish that chrome on the Anniversary Hoover too.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

Jeff, you are just going to have to tag along with Tom the next time he visits. I can show you the rounds and you never know what may turn up..

Wonderful finds! There is a commercial machine that has a red hood like this and a stainless steel base, that I would love to find, since I'm on a red kick and 574s are apparently even more rare than 68s. Carp!

Jeff, I know you know which one I'm talking about. I think some have dirt cups or shakeout bags, but you can get ones that use disposable bags too, right?
