This is a later one, early 80's perhaps, BOL machine. At the end, I believe there was only white on white. Personally, I like the white, and the cabinet could easily be painted to give it a nice contrast.

We grew up with so much white, we now cherish color; but the Hooves of our day were always colored, so now we covet Hooves in white. Unusual, indeed, but beautiful. Ah, the vagaries of perception and preference!
