In UK terms at least
a little older, more like 1962. Link below shows in in action - dont forget ours had heaters.
Note that this machine does not appear to have a drain hose, it should be attached at the top RH side of the wash tub although it not the end of the world to rig up an alternative. Also, make sure that it is filled to the water level mark (that is essential with every Hoover twinnie) and that when emptying you keep the lid on over the wash tub, otherwise that tub will empty about 1/3 of its contents without the drain hose at all!
