Hello out there jus wondering if it's possible to replace a hub on a Ge filter flo trann and if so what's the difficulty level? The whole side of mine broke off. I'm not sure if this is possible or if I have to replace the whole tranny. Any input would be appreciated! -Doug

Replacing The Basket Hub On a GE FF Transmission

It is possible, the first thing you have to do is find the hub, you should probably replace some of the seals as well.

Generally it is a lot easier to replace the complete transmission, there are still lots of good used one around and maybe even some factory rebuilt units.

Ok thanks, the thing is the transmission is only like 3 years old. I bought it new off of eBay. I hadnt used the washer in like a year and how I broke the hub was I was goin to transfer the new transmission To my other Ge filter flo that I am keeping and put the old transmission in that Ge washer. When I took the tub out a bolt broke off so I had to drill it out and when I was drilling that bolt out it broke off that chunk of the hub, also I noticed a tad bit of oil in the outer tub. Not sure if this means if it's used again that water will get into the transmission and cause further damage. Is it hard to replace the seals and do u have any info on it?
