Hose (20 ft.) for Kirby Sentria G10 Vacuum Cleaner

I have a 2007 Kirby Sentria G10 vacuum and the 'standard' hose that came with the unit is only seven feet long.

My old Kirby which has all but died had a custom hose made for it that was 20 feet long and allowed the hose to move virtually everywhere without having to move the very heavy Kirby vacuum itself.

I'm look for a source that can custom fabricate a 20 foot long vacuum hose for the Kirby Sentria G10 vacuum. One option might be to purchase another Kirby hose that has the correct end pieces and have it modified to the 20 foot length. Any idea where I might find a firm/individual that has this capability. I'm in Oakland, CA, but geography is not a limiting factor.

What model was the old kirby? If its a G3, g4, 5 ,6 ultimate it will still work on the sentria.

Kirby makes a stretch hose but I dont know how long it stretches to.

My Kirby dealer has made me any length hose I've wanted over the years. I tend to make 12 feet the longest I use because of the strain on the motor. Just go in and talk to them. It's that easy! Greg

Have to agree, just go and ask at the vac shop. I've got a 15' hose made up for one of my Hoovers. the only requirement they had was that the ends had to be in good shape. I also asked to see the material they use to make up the hose, I HATE the stiff stuff and would not use it. Luckily they had a nice heavy flexible vinyl hose stock that I'm very happy with. It's much more flexible than the hose on my Kirby.

There is a very nice Kirby dealer on VacuumLand, his name is Bill and his screen name is a007kirbyman, he might be able to make one for you. I had a very wonderful phone conversation with him a few nights ago about my Kirby, and Kirby's in general.

I second that, Bill - 007kirbyman - is very helpful. I bought a brushroller from him earlier in the year, and was was kind enough to explain the various styles and ship it quickly. Definitely check with him...

IIRC I have bought some kirby parts from him in the past. He knows his stuff really well!
