Was so well represented around here, there are lots of these at yard sales etc, what is not easy to find, is either the deep fryer immersion unit or the plug in griddle sold with so many Hotpoint ranges!
I bought this a few years ago at a local thrift shop to keep it from being recycled into something else. Think I paid 50 or 75 cents for it.
No idea who made it for what. No marks of any kind other than up to 5 quarts-25 cups of coffee. Looks like it may have been used a few times but is very clean.
I have no use for it and don't plan on it, just wanted to save it. It's up for grabs to whoever would like it just for the postage.
Ya done good, son. That is a real treasure. It is sort of amazing how quickly electric perks led to the home style party urns that automated the whole process.
Glad someone got this unique piece and will use it. I was tempted as I do have a range with a deep well pot but I knew I'd never use it as a coffee maker. The one item I'd really love is a deep well pressure cooker, but as many here know they are very rare. I hope someday to come across one. i did manage to pick up a user's manual for a deep well pressure cooker on ebay a few years ago, now all I need is the pot itself.
Hello, This was first offered on 57 Hotpoint ranges standard on the best models, optional on others. I have the top of the line 40" which uses the party perc. These are getting rare! The range I have is available if anyone is interested, thanks,Walt
