Hey guys,
Right i'm 7months on from buying this machine new. I have to say, its good, but its not to my standard. I detest how picky it is to spin, it could use abit more water, it could do more.

It is no longer super silent as you will hear on the final spin video i've done today. Infact im sure the bearings will go by its 1st birthday. especially when i do loads like this! lol. So i want a new one. tho funds are low, i'd like to find something high spec on ebay at a reasonable £.

So today i am trying to use up a box of ariel proffessional bio i don't like as its too sudsy and doesnt rinse out well. i washed our biiiig throw we sit snug on the sofa with, its heavy when its dry to this thing in the wash is reeeeeeeeeal absorbant.

I had to do abit of manual filling myself, but we made it through a cotton 40 with no issues, when it spins its real fun, it reminds me of a philips machine spin draining the amount of water that cascades down the door!

anywhooo check out my page and see what y'all think!

D

got some more ultima vids to upload

Hey bud love the spin but u should have seen what the machine did when i washed my bed stuff on wools it kept sudslocking and spinning water down glass sadly there not on vid but i have some of a custom rinse/drain and final spin and a few with door open (being naughty but it was hot this week so saved money on a fan

Hey guys!

Steve-i'm wanting a zanussi/bosch or bosch logixx or sumthin, i'd like to find a bosch aquatech with 1550spin & aquatech rinse sensor!:D

I'm tryin to find sumthin cheap on ebay, sell my hotpoint and have sum free cash as we've had sum news which is going to cost me lots of money lol;)

Hey hotpointwf220

i have to ask, how are you getting on with your machine? does ur drive u crazy with oversensitivity on spins?

Darren

mine spins alot the balancing doesn't really kick in on mine it spins when it likes sometimes all though it did balance 8 times but it still did the 1600

oh to get more water level rinses Darren press mini load when the machine finishes a spin for the rinse and when it starts to fill for the second part of the rinse (fast tumbles) when it finishes the fill un select mini load and it should fill again.

To me this is the best Hotpoint by far but the time it takes to do final spin is starting to annoy mum who rushes washing to get to work. maybe my servis in the basement might have to come up soon but not counting on it yet

I too cannot stand the 20mins to do final spin and 15mins synthetic. my mums aeg takes 12mins cotton & 6mins synthetic. it does my tree in. Another tip for higher rinses on these is to fill extra water in the initial slow tumble stage, til u can see it over the rim of the drum, then when the machine fills manually it tops itself up to a higher level. the 2 stage rinsing is startin to annoy me now aswell. Ahh i just want a new machine! I'm goin to sell it, i knew i shud of bought the zanussi! Grr! lol.

supprisingly u won't believe this but my aunt has a beko 1600 and that's a good machine darren worth a look at

Pfft after the day i've had dealing with beko, i wouldn't touch one! Though they look nice and i've heard their gd. They were meant 2 call 2 of my customers to arrange repairs and didnt, they sent me the same spare part twice when i told them it was wrong! Bloody useless!

Darren

Beko...

Yeah they are good, well for the money anyway LOL! My neighbour as one, its two years old now, it works nicely but they are inccredibly flimsy, not too sure if anyone else has noticed! But for the money you cant really expect more I supose :)

Hey Darren - sorry for being crap with emails - been back home for a while. . .
Just wanted to say please stay away from any bosch post aquatech! I've had experience with three newish bosch's now ( classix 1000, exceel 1400 and now a newer exceel 1600 that my other half has bought and all of them are truely terrible at rinsing even with thE aqua plus button. And if you think the hotpoint faff's on spin - try using one of these machines!

Hey Steve!!!!
Tut at you with your lack of e-mails! lol! Hope you are well. Yes once the maxx machines came out they did lose their quality. I've used or or 2. But i'd hoped maybe the current aqua plus would be like the "higher water level" button on the aquatech models etc.

How are you getting on with your vision?

Ooh well i think about it, has anyone seen the replacements for the "nextra" models, they are called "optimas" Heres a pic from the comet site!

Darren

Oh wow! Lol I've just been on the comet site and found out that the machine in the pic is a washer! Theres me thinking it was a new tumble dryer hehe!!

sorry about that lol! Shows how much I was concentrating!! LOL

Over senstive out of balance sensors

Hi Darren and all

Sorry to hear that you are so fed up with the Hottie! I can understand it though, I got rid of mine in the end. I have a basic Whirlpool in my flat left by the previous owners and I would ideally like to replace it with something new. However, I'm concerned that all the new machines have oversensitive balance sensors. The whirlpool works fine but is a little noisy.

Do you or anyone else know what machines don't muck around on balancing?

Rob

Hey Darren

Yeah, all good thanks. Nice being back home in Sydney for a few months finishing up on the reno's. As far as I can tell the aqua plus is nothing like the higher water level on the older machines. The aqua plus adds another rinse but still way way below the rim of the drum. My other half drys his clothes over a clothes horse and his shirts and pants stand up on there own when they are dry ! - they are still so full of detergent. The 15min quick wash is a great idea but everytime this has been used the 15 min turned into at least 30 if not more once it trys to balance for the spins!

I couldn't be more pleased with the vision. It really is super silent, washes fantasticly , taking 1.35 hr to do a 9KG cottons wash. I'm not sure what kind of fuzzy logic it uses - but it seems to do three rinses for a full drum and cuts it down to two if there's not much laundry in the drum. You can add upto five rinses with sensitive care button.
So far it's been great at spinning and doesn't seem to faff at all. The only time I've had problems is when I washed a bath mat on it's own - and I expected it to spit the dummy when it came to final spin. THe only thing I can moan about is the re introduction of the stupid door release wait time. On the new waves as soon as the drum had stopped turning the door opened, but with the vision you have to wait two mins! Not really that big a deal but can be annoying.. The more I use it the more impressed I am! Really is a top machine.

Hey Steve!
I've used aqua plus on my bro's bosch, it filled into the door seal and slightly up the door. i haven't tried it on easycares to see if thats any different!

I'm glad your happy with your vision. It seems a nice machine, theres a black washer & dryer pair on ebay atm that looks very nice.

I arranged a repair for a newwave yesterday that i'm happy to report will continue its great service, it needed a new door switch so the prog could commence! Nice to know their still circulating! I will have to fire mine up on my day off!

Glad your well! I'd love to see a pic of your machine in action if you have any recent ones?!

Darren
