I was looking at Miele's Facebook page and came across this photo. The user swears that he didn't cause this to happen to his washing machine. What do you think?

When I reached out to the OP, I got a abused by him and his friends because I told him that he got an item of clothing stuck between the door and seal which caused the damage to the machine.

unclear, or unknown if this exact machine has a spring tension keeping it in place....

others just hold on by snapping over the lip......

not uncommon when loading, or especially unloading, something like a comforter, to drag across and pull that out of place, even a small section, once the machine starts moving and pulling on it, that it could be pulled the rest of the way out of place.....

but for the most part, there usually is more than enough play in a boot under normal circumstances for this not to happen......

anyway.....at least you offered some help, if their that unappreciative, then to heck with them....

That 100% surely was the item stuck between door and boot. The boot clearly is wound towards the inside right under the clothing at the 5 o' clock position. The boot just can't get under the clothing like this in any way, except if the clothing was there from the beginning.
