Yet Anotther "Mid-West" Thing I Don't Get... B

Fill a 16 ounce glass with ice

Add:

1 jigger of vodka
1/3 package of Bartenders Dry Collins Mix
1 Tablespoon of Limeade syurp

Fill remaining glass with Lemon Sour

*Limeade syrup should be found under the Sun-Glo name, but it may have been discontinued. Any decent bartender's/restaurant supply should have a subsitute if not the real thing.

Another green drink . . .

I'd never heard of Greenies either, so I can't improve on Launderess's recipe (would like to try it though!). There is another green drink I like a lot however: the Green Hornet. It is 1 part green Creme de Menthe to 2 parts Gin. Very easy to make, a beautiful iridescent green color, and a very minty taste. Not recommended if you don't like mint but worth a try if you do.

'Greenies from CT'

Here's the recipe:

1 Can frozen limeade
1 2 ltr. Bottle Sprite

Mix the Sprite and limeade in a 2qt pitcher. Fill the empty limeade can with Vodka and add to the mixture(or however much 'booze' you prefer). Stir and pour over ice.

Enjoy!
