I need help with Miele manuals!

I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get manuals for my Miele dishwasher, and a Miele oven.

I e-mailed Miele Canada, and they say the manuals no longer exist. I'm sure that my appliances couldn't be that old!

The dishwasher is a G 572.
The oven is an H 818.

I certainly don't need a hard copy, just something I could store in the computer.

Have you tried Miele.com? They have all kinds of manuals there. The Canadian site is kinda limited in what they have. They have manuals you can download into pdf format.

Have you checked the Miele.com site?..I found the manuals you wanted under customer service. Then click on instruction manuals. You will need to tell the search engine what you want...dishwasher and then you need to do a search for it...i found both at that site you can download in pdf format.

G572 Manuals

You can try downloading from MieleUSA's website, but lately Miele has been deleting manuals from older units from their archives.

Agree with the previous poster, if all else fails contact Miele directly. Note however that Miele Canada and Miele USA respect each other's manor, that is normally they will not supply parts, supplies and other information to customers not in their respective countries.

If you contact Miele USA, and they have the manuals, but won't send them to Canada, please let us here in the group know. Am sure someone will act as a go between and send them along.

Why

on earth would anyone in their right minds delete manuals from their server? It is not like they take up that much space - this is 2008!
The more I hear about Miele in Canada and the US, the more convinced I become that they have nothing to do with our beloved Miele over here.
As for the not selling back and forth, screw them. If anyone has a "T-" number I can get for you here in Germany, be happy to.
First, they dumb down the stuff for the American market. Then they jack up the prices way over what we pay here...I am often critical of the idiots running American businesses, but have to admit, the Germans who thought this policy up out to be sent back to nieder-tierfer-hinter-Pfui-deufy until they get their heads out of their asses.
Sheesh.

I was able to download the dishwasher (g572) from the Miele USA site.

However, even though I can find the oven manual (H 818), and it tells me to "download" it, the next window to open always tells me there is a problem with their server. Every time...evening or morning. My computer?

Gratefull to get the dishwasher manual though!

Got back this reply - they will see if they have a copy and, if so, send it to me.
I fear I will get the same response you did.
The UK Miele site doesn't even offer an archive that I can find and neither the H814, H868 nor H818 seem to have ever been offered in Australia.
I just can't imagine anyone being so stupid as to remove "older" manuals, but then...
Anyway - will let you know here what I hear back from them.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Got the German Text from Miele

OK, I just got the German H818 pdf from Miele here in Germany.
As usual for German Miele, turnaround was not even one day.
The illustrations are clear, the text, obviously, in German. Would you like me to send you a copy? It is 4.8MB.
Not a problem for me to email, if you like.
Obviously, it is better than nothing. I would be happy to help you with any questions you have - a translation of a sentence here or there.
Sucks that Miele USA and Canada are such jerks about customer service. Maybe when you have the German pdf, you can tackle them again and point out that if the Mother Ship could do it, they can.
Let me know - if nothing else, the clear illustrations are probably a help with some of the functions.
