I need to Extract the pulsator and other bits as its a bit stiff and i think thats the problem of it only wanting to wash 2 shirts at a time.. any more and they wont turn at all. Could someone please help me to remove the pulsator to clean and Re WD-40 it? Kind Regards So much.. Its a T1288.. :-)

Sorry Luv

Don't have time at the moment to dig out my Hoover service and repair manual, but do find it odd you way the impeller will only move enough water for two shirts.

Before you start taking things apart, why not simply take off the back cover, then switch the unit on to observe if all is going well. Use all proper and necessary precautions mind.

Before starting the unit, and while the back cover is off try moving the impeller via it's belt. You want to check for any serious resistance and or slack.

Was the unit sitting idle for along period of time? If so you may need to fill the wash tub with hot water and or allow the unit to run awhile before things loosen up.

Easy!

Once you get the back cover off, grip the pulsator with one hand and spin the pulley off CLOCKWISE. You will then have to hand-rotate the pulsator out of the seal/bearing. I know what you're talking about as I have one that the pulsator seized on. I have no idea what to use as a lube on that, anyone know? I'm not sure to use a grease or oil or silicone or what on it. I used 3 in 1 oil on mine and it loosened for about 15 minutes. Pump bearing is the same way. Both are seized again.

Thankyou

Well im not sure if it was sitting for a while... the spinner is still in mint shape.. I got told when i got it the belts had just been replaced and seals..

Its just ive seen videos of these washing, and mine is no where near as rough.. and i turned the pulsator by hand clockwise in the tub, and it seems a bit stiff.. so i will do that when i can get some time.. i was just going to use WD-40.. i have heard the back of the pulsator can get a bit nasty over time lol... Does anyone know what year model this is too?

Thanks Regards
