I think the hotpoint is on it's last legs

So today I have done two loads in the hotpoint at my dads, the first loads contained a bathroom curtain, 2 synthetic tops, a skirt a pair or children's trousers and two bras (yes I no shouldn't) and I put in on a fast wash with 800 spin and it reached 800 on the finalspin but the load was still quite wet, now the second load is still on and it is time saver 60* and It says it willl take one hour and 1:30 later still going,

Could someone plse tell me what is going on with this machine many thanks
