I'm working on putting together a vintage kitchen in my large outdoor storage room. So I've been lurking on eBay and wanted a Frigidair Flair stove - 40". Well I found one in Salem, VA and bid on it. I got it for $10.00! Needs a little TLC but not bad shape.

Next is a Sink

I wanted a farmhouse sink too. These have been going for $1300 and up but I picked this up on eBay for $25.00 in Sparta, KY. Only a small chip in it. It has been in a farm house for 61 years. The manufacturing date is 1909 and came with the legs as well.

Great start!

Both are terrific finds. Ahhh, it is nice when things go your way - even just a little- sometimes.
The paint drips are fun on the sink. You can probably plot the generations of color changes that kitchen has seen through the ages. If that sink could talk!

As Others Often Ask --

There's a stove in that picture???

Great finds, and you can't beat the prices.  Once that kitchen scene is complete, nobody is going to believe how little it cost you to outfit.

Question for the group

The Flair is going to need some burner parts like supports and drip pans. Does anyone know of someone who might have some parts for sale? I'm checking ebay too but I know the AW family sometimes has parts availalble.

I also need to post the GE washer and GM spintube dishwasher on here too.

Last night I was watching House Hunters and there was a house with one of these stoves in it. Usually the potential buyers moan and grown about how "old and outdated" the stove is. But this couple liked it and said it was "Way Cool" and if they bought the home, they'd keep it!

My twist on Ralph's thought/comment was, I"m not sure which is hotter, the Flair range or the new owner of said appliance.

Oh, and pardon my overlook of proper Southern manners.  Congratulations Joe on terrific finds!!  What else are you looking for to put in that vintage kitchen?

word of advice.....leave the boyfriend home....lol....unless you need a BODY guard?....lol

Well

Right now a vintage refrigerator is left to find. Not sure what I want but the right thing will appear.

I searched for faucets on the internet and found them $500 down as low as $167. But Home Depot has the replacement in the store for $46.95. I'm getting it for a Christmas present this year. The sink is in remarkable shape for 102 years old. Just needs cleaning. It was in it's last location for 61 years.

Thanks John/combo52. I'll be intouch soon. Kinda need make a parts list for sure.
