So, I did my usual checkup on some review sites that I do every now and then, and stumbled across this LG dryer test:

http://laundry.reviewed.com/content/lg-dlex9000v-90-cu-ft-electric-dryer-review

Now, I was somewhat disapointed when reviewed.com changed their page layout and removed the "Results" tab in the reviews. Before you had a nice seperation between the babble these writers put out and the pure numbers. Now they barely reveal any data anymore (for example temperatures for dryers or water usage for DW) and just throw everything together.

Then I was somewhat confused by the ratings on Bosch DW. The differences in scores weiredly started to widen for machines which should basicly perform the exact same.

And now, they aren't even trying.
Before, any dryer peaking beyond 150°F was dragged, and 160°F on a heavy cycle was unacceptable sometimes. This dryer reached 160°F in 3 cycles and still has a perfect score.
The once crown winner ELux that also had a perfect score never went above 150°F, but it was noted that the 8lbs test load took a little more time then average clocking in at 61 minutes.
This one takes 75min and gets the same overall score.

I know there is more then cycle metrics going into the evaluation, but a good steam setting and a cuft additional space should not offset 3 temperature exceedings and a 25% longer cycle time.
Either they just don't care anymore or actually get paid to score some products better then others.
