Ok, after letting the agitator in the Kenmore soak with some WD-40 for a couple hours and the puring boiling water over it, the agitator finally came free. I immediately dired off the agitator shaft and it looks a bit rusty... i put a shotload of vaseline on and tried to put the Super Roto Swirl agitator I have in.. It went about a quarter of an inch and the wouldn't go down any further. I could barely pull it back off the agitator shaft with only that much on it. Does this mean it's time for a new agitator shaft? Is there anything I can do to avoid pulling the machine out and putting it on it's side again? Looking at Robert's restoration of the Lady Kenmore it looks like the drive block comes off? Or is that just on those older hexagon drive blocks?
