Insight on United States Energy Standards for Washers

Came across this report from the mid 90's for improving/setting energy standards for washing machines. It appears to have been written for the department of Energy regarding setting standards for energy use by washing machines.

I am wondering if this is going to be a victum of the latest "budget cuts" proposed by the President and Congress?YAHHH!!!

Unfortunately this legislation will probably remain in place to prove to the tree huggers that the President is environmentally friendly.
