Is this a real Frigidaire fridge?

Or a WCI Frigidaire? I see wood grain trim and finger print hiding surface so Im guessing late 70s-early 80s? Condenser mounted on the back so no condenser fan? But there is a grille at the bottom?

I never knew there were refrigerators made that utilized evaporator fan cooling with back mounted condensers. I assume the greater surface area of this style condenser overcame any potential problems of not having forced draft condenser cooling?

certain details of this fridge,especially the condenser coil, are much like my 1977 WCI kelvinator fridge-on my kelvy there is a big evaporation pan underneath with either an extra condenser or compressor oil cooling coil under there as well.There will be very gentle airflow through that area from the thermal updraft of the main condenser once it warms up,but I planned to add a small fan to mine if I was to place it into DD use-decided it was bigger than I needed so stored now.

Not sure, my aunt has an almond Frigidaire in her beach house from 1986, but I don't recall it having that chrome trim. I would think this is WCI though based on the textured exterior and that the logo isn't all uppercase like earlier ones had.

She also used to have a white 1975 Frigidaire in her other house, it was smooth finish.

That looks almost like my mother's former early 80's Gibson fridge.

Ken, the last GM Elite refrigerators were similar from the outside but since this ad shows so cleary the door badge, you can see this one misses the GM logo and the "F" with a crown on top is centered in one of the 3 squares that have been displayed on many Frigidaire appliances since the mid 1970s.

The GM version had an empty square in the center and GM and the "F" logos on the two outer squares. And as far as I know, GM fridges had smooth surface sheetmetal until the end. The "F" badge between the two empty squares is an easy way to identify all early WCI-designed appliances from the GM predecessors, that's true for washers, dryers, dishwashers, freezers...
