Anyone ever seen an In Sink Erator dishwasher? There's one on Craigslist near me and was sort of wondering about it. No pic, of course. They want 100 bucks.

When did they stop making these? Or did they?

Most likely a rebadged Kitchenaid with the horizontal door latch. Available as a builder/contractor brand. Quite awhile back they were rebadged Whirlpools as well. A model # will tell you which design it is.

ISE dishwashers are very common here in Pittsburgh. I think most of them are from the early 90's. Almost exactly the same as a K/A except a different door latch.

Dishwasher Rebadges

I'm pretty sure I have seen ise dws that were rebadged Thermadors; they had stainless innards way back in the 80's;
maybe even the late 70's with those hefty sanitizing heating
elements.Did the cl mention the age of the dw?

Can't believe I'm doing this...

I'm going to email the seller for specifics. You know, my current DW (Roper) is only about a year old.

Hoo boy. I am SO sucked in.

ISE Dishwasher

There was a time back in the 90's when it was almost impossible to get a KA dishwasher...something was going on with KA.....ISE dishwashers were available and they looked just like the KA inside, along with a porcelain tub. In fact, my neighbor has one in her kitchen.

When I bought my 1992 Superba, my dad had received a postal advertisement for one of those buying clubs, major appliances and other things. He called to check in availability and price of KA. They didn't have KA, but did have ISE, said it's the same thing. The price was lower . . but not after shipping was added.

ISE Dishwasher

My mother has a neighbor in Youngstown Ohio who has one in her kitchen. It is definitely a rebadged Kitchen Aid superba. She's had it for years and it's still running fine. As a matter of fact, she remodeled her kitchen about 8 years ago and kept this dishwasher because she liked it so well. Funny someone mentioned they were popular in Pittsburgh and this woman is originally from Pittsburgh!
