Whirlpool and Emerson have had a long relationship, as Emerson motors have been used in Whirlpool appliances for many years. It also involved Hobart when KitchenAid was sold to Whirlpool, which resulted in there being ISE brand dishwashers for a time.
Great, another brand soon to be cheapened and its name tarnished.
Instead of forking out 3 billion to destroy another product, why not spend that in R&D and fix their already crappy appliances riddled with issues? It'd sure be nice to buy a decent refrigerator again like they use to make in the past.
