Tolivac, I was born and raised in Manassas. When did you live there? I lived in the City of Manassas, and it was mostly Kenmore country, although there were a few Whirlpools and even some Maytags too. Monkey Wards was unpopular and I saw almost no Westinghouse or Frigidaire.

Kelly, congrats on two dependable pieces of equipment. That dryer is the stack model because the one that sits on the floor has the controls on the slanted area above the door. It has a large capacity so you should get nice wrinkle-free laundry out of it.

The top collar of the tub has all of these diagonal slits and the water from the fill flume sprayed water down onto the tub collar, actually pulling water in during the spin spray rinse so really, the machine fills into the outer tub.

Volvoguy87-I lived in Manassas,Va for about 4 yrs before I retransferred to Greenville NC.I worked in downtown DC.I am trying to remember the street I lived off of-beleive it was Sudly-Rt#235-the main street that goes thru Manassas.The street I lived on was Sudley Manor Road-the townhome complex all the way at the end-there is a waterpark that operated during the summer behind the Townhouse complex.So metimes the traffic going to and from that park was something elese.I also frequented Manassas Vacuum-knew Leu who ran the place.That was a regular stop on my weekends.Also a very good freind and work mate lived in Manassas for a year-he lived in downtown,Manassas.I helped him a lot in remodeling the house he was in.Was kinda fun.I was close to the entrance to Rt#66.The Manassas Mall was only a couple miles from my house.One of those "sniper" shootings was only a mile or two from where I lived-the shooting took place near the Home Depot shopping center that also has a Wal-Mart.I liked the Manassas area.Used to commute on the VRE train from Manassas park or the Downtown Manassas VRE stops.Other shifts-like my mids-used the Veinna, Va Metro subway stop-free overnight parking!
