cool! a '61 magnavox is the oldest set i have that so far has not needed repairs
though i thought i heard some corona once...like most of my"working order"sets,
i try to run it a few times a year to keep the caps"formed"

I love both of your new sets, especially the Magnavox! I'm assuming it's color, even with the absense of Color markings. I'm out of space myself, and still have to make room for a '59 Magnavox Belvedere with twin speaker/storage cabinet, and a '67 Mag Beaumont French Provincial stereo console. I did buy a '71 Magnavox armoire for the stereo system, the television doesn't work though. Enjoy the heck out of yours!

What's the deal with the sides of the screen on the French Provincial Magnavox? Is that dust or something inside the screen itself?

Dirtybuck/Bill I would say it came from a heavy smokers house.  Justin/countryford can tell us for sure but it does look like nicotine stains to me.  My inlaws house had that on everything.

Yes, it does appear to be nicotine stains. Looks like a came from a household that was full of smoke.
