In the most ironic twist of fate, the Big Easy got a few inches of snow on Christmas day. The last time that happened was in the 50s. But here's the irony. I flew up to Massachusetts to be with Brianne for Christmas and there was NO snow. My only chance to see snow in New Orleans for Christmas and I missed it. Oh well, there's always pictures and memories <br
Fortunately, Sunday we had a killer snow that dumped 12" on us :-D . <br
So anyway, Merry late Christmas and Happy New Year everyone from the land of vintage appliances.
 
Snow in N.O.

It seems to me when I lived there( I think it was 85 )it snowed on Thanksgiving or Christmas I can't remember which. I do remember all the pipes froze and busted all over the city. What a mess! The whole city freaked out!

That was the only other snow I remember in N.O. I have video of the snow falling. You're right, big freeze, pipes broke. That stuff doesn't happen often.

Glad we didn't get the snow up here in Shreveport. I know what it's like in N.O., like it is here. Nobody can drive in it. Didn't envy you guys a bit. But Christmas snow is a nice touch. I would love to see a white Christmas again. Looks like Minnesota is the best chance for one. I'm going to find out one day. Enjoy the Boston area; I did.

Sorry you missed the snow Jason, Boston is only at a 23% chance and NYC is at a 10% chance of a white christmas, and New Orleans is less than 1% chance

Well, my mom just sent me some pictures of the new orleans snow. It looks awesome! Of course, we had a nice snow Dec. 26-27th and there's STILL snow on the ground. I finally got a chance to play in snow. I did some "Ghetto" sledding on a large Sterilite container lid. Hey it works! Also got a chance to wash in a set of He3's. NICE MACHINES!
